Oh my, he’s at it again!

jared-hindman-dnd-delves-banner-1If any of you out there don’t keep track of Jared Hindman yet, I have to wonder why.  You’re missing out on some great content.

Well, it turns out he’s at it again, with Dangerous Delves Doodles – a.ka. Jared’s a Big Dice-rolling Dork (who plays with toys), in which he presents his interpretations of the entire new monster set of D&D Minis.

This time, however, I was beaten to the punch by WotC themselves.  As Jared says in his blog post:

If you check out the official Gallery page of Dungeons and Dragons (Click Here) you might notice something else cool.
Seriously…scroll down to the bottom.

I think it’s fitting that his alternate perspective was listed as Uncommon, don’t you?

I should also note that he’s looking at coming to GenCon this year, and wants to do commissions and requests (including D&D art) to help finance it.

Given the awesomeness of his Artsmash Tequila (and Artsmash Tequila 2), I think he’d be a hell of a participant in our Drunken D&D plans.

In other news, I’m finally graduated from Civil Engineering.  No more exams!  Which means updates may actually be coming soon.

On a related note, does anyone work for an engineering firm and want to hire or recommend me?

I need money so I can commission a banner from Jared Hindman, after all.

I’m wondering who the “he’s at it again!” was directed at – you or Jared? 🙂

Graham  on May 24th, 2009

Can’t it be both? ^_^

Christine  on May 25th, 2009

I’d say its definitely both. ^_^

Here’s hoping you stay at it. :p

Drunken D&D Plans? Tell me more…I’m morbidly intrigued.

That and damn you CriticalAnkleBites, you always say the sweetest things.
“afraid of GenCon but still will be there this year”

Hi Jared!

Yay, people I admire know who I am.

We’re still working out the precise details, but DD&D is exactly what it sounds like. A group of friends, meeting at Gencon, drinking heavily and playing rpgs simultaneously.

Click for a short summary of the craziness of last year’s game.

The plan this year is to have me run the game (assuming I can find a job and make it down, as I don’t think as many people would donate to fly me down), as Phil (ChattyDM) is a lightweight, and I’m an engineer.

But man, I can’t not say great things about your site. I’ve been a fan since long before the D&D Monsters article. I’m always excited when a new comic or review goes up, and a Jared Hindman banner is definitely on my wish list for the blog.

I just wish there was an RSS feed for the main site. 😀

Dude, had I known about Jared before I,d have asked him to illustrate my “When Madness Seeps in…” adventure I wrote for Goodman Games. The Foulspawn Grue image is PERFECT!

I can’t wait for DD&D! So glad I get to come to GenCon this year 🙂

Sounds like way too much fun…drop me a line if it’s going to go down and you don’t mind me pulling up a chair (and a bottle) to the table. Sounds like a vital part of the GenCon experience, really. If you’re lucky you’ll get me speaking only in vulgar limericks about halflings, something that I’ve been contractually obligated to NEVER DO AGAIN. (I think it was the line about the hairy gnoll that guards the hole that pushed the gang over the edge, really.)

Later and email me about that banner. At the very least I’ll throw it on my random fun no promises pile.
(Though you…err…already knew that.)
